What the Learning Hub isTeaching and learning materials developed from lecture note guides, extracted directly from the curriculum.

How study worksStructured by week. Studied at your own pace.
Each course is divided into between one and ten weeks, as determined by the College. Each week outlines its topics and learning objectives and includes a written lesson, a narrated version of that lesson, a printable outline, and concludes with a 10-question formative quiz to assess comprehension. The College pass mark is 75%.
Students study online at their own pace. Lecturers have real-time visibility of each student's weekly completion and performance, allowing early identification and support for students who are falling behind.
Who does whatOne clear line of responsibility for what students are taught.
College staff approve
Staff prepare, review and sign off every course. Nothing is put in front of a student until a member of staff has read it, and that gate is built into the platform rather than left to habit.
Lecturers monitor
A lecturer sees the roster for the courses assigned to them, how far each student has got and how each has scored. They do not edit or sign off course material.
Students study
Students access only the courses within their enrolled programme that have been officially released by the College.
One course, taught onceShared foundation courses are maintained centrally.
Several foundation courses, including Introduction to Health Care, Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Ethics and Law, and Vital Signs, are common across multiple programmes. SPACS maintains each as a single core course profile rather than duplicating it per programme. Students across programmes therefore complete the same course, to the same standard, ensuring consistency and quality assurance.
One course, taught onceShared foundation courses are maintained in one place.
Several foundation courses, among them Introduction to Health Care, Medical Terminologies, Anatomy and Physiology, Ethics and Law and Vital Signs, are taught in more than one programme. SPACS treats each of them as a single course rather than a separate copy per programme. Students across programmes therefore sit the same course, to the same standard, and the college maintains it in one place.
